The 3D Doodler Pen is a fun, cool, and innovative product for both children and adults. I am so happy that I have the opportunity to write a review on this pen, and I hope that in this review, my opinions of the product are clear and will be a help to you if you are considering purchasing this product for yourself or for someone else.
The first thing that I would like to discuss is the packaging. When it arrived, it was very safely packaged… there was no doubt that it came unharmed. The actual pen box is really cool. It is magnetic on the one side, and this closes the box. Inside was the pen, instructions, unclogging tools, and neon and basic colored filament. Everything was organized well inside of the box, and I had absolutely no difficulty finding anything. It is always reassuring to see a company that is concerned with their product’s presentation. Neatness draws the user in and helps to intrigue them. So, overall, the packaging was excellent!
Next, I will be talking about the instructions. Although I was given many different pamphlets, all with different instructions, I did not understand them at all. I felt like I was being continuously redirected to different sources. They were highly confusing, at least for me. I really ended up teaching myself how to use the pen by watching YouTube videos or just gradually figuring things out on my own. So, sadly I do not have anything really fantastically nice to say about the instructions. One suggestion I would give to the makers of the pen would be to make one pamphlet with really simple instructions in it.
Next, I will discuss my first use of the product. I am not going to lie and say that it was easy or that I was a pro my first time, because I definitely wasn’t. I tried to go to fast, and I struggled with making anything. After I went slower, learned and researched more about the pen, I was able to make some really cool stuff, like puzzle pieces that actually fit together or a basketball that was multiple colors. One thing that I tried to make and I completely failed at was a 3D pyramid. I tried and tried and tried, and I tried to look up videos, and I just could not get it. Although I had these small defeats, I have learned so much about the product, and I love it. It is really fun to use.
Now, I am going to tell you some of my personal pros and cons with this device. Some pros include:
· It is small, making it easy to take with you to different places.
· It is interactive and fun for both children and adults.
· It keeps you occupied for a long time.
· It is simple once you get the hang of it.
Some cons include:
· The temperature… it gets very hot very fast. Be careful.
· It’s not really geared for very young children.
· The pen gets clogged easily.
· The “declogger” does not always work.
As you can see, the pros are equal to the number of cons. I really enjoyed using this product. Overall, there is nothing terrible to say about this product. :]
Lastly, I will explain some uses for this product. You can use the pen to do anything, really. You can write with it, draw with it, and honestly, a bunch of useful things. As long as what you are trying to construct is thick enough, it will be strong and will be able to withstand wear. I think this product is awesome. It really works well, and it is just a really cool pen.
In conclusion, the 3D Doodler is really amazing. It is awesome to think that creating fun tools that work for practical uses is possible. I am so grateful to have had the chance to try out the doodler pen, and I just want to say thank you to the company for sending me not only one pen, but two. I had a blast reviewing this product, and I will for sure be using it again later.
